Sports Performance Cooking

Better FED Kitchen’s Sports Performance Cooking Class is designed for athletes, coaches, and families looking to enhance athletic performance through proper nutrition. This 90-minute session is a practical introduction to meal planning and preparation and the critical role that food plays in fueling sports performance, growth, and recovery.

Led by our expert instructors, the class begins with a focus on the unique nutritional needs of athletes. This includes how to balance macronutrients—proteins, carbohydrates, and fats—to optimize energy levels, muscle repair, and endurance. We’ll also explore hydration strategies and post-workout recovery foods, guiding how to refuel effectively after training or competition.

During the session, participants will watch the demonstration of three nutrient-packed dishes specifically crafted to meet the demands of an active lifestyle. These recipes are rich in essential nutrients and quick and easy to prepare, making them ideal for busy athletes and families. Following the demonstration, guests can taste each dish, gaining hands-on experience with ingredients that support optimal performance.

In addition to meal prep, we’ll cover practical tips on grocery shopping for performance food, how to make smarter ingredient choices and strategies for incorporating variety into your diet to prevent burnout.

Whether you're training for your next competition or looking to improve your daily eating habits, the Sports Performance Cooking Class is a valuable resource for athletes at all levels. Join us in creating meals that fuel your best performance on and off the field.
